Almost every single article about losing weight and getting healthy tells readers to avoid drive through windows like the plague and that they need to perform all of their own cooking. This is certainly good guidance. Sometimes, though, the last thing you want is to have to prepare meals from scratch. Sometimes all you want is to go to the drive through and get home as soon as possible. There isn’t any reason that you shouldn’t be permitted to do this and not be plagued by remorse about slipping on your diet. You are capable of doing this because lots of the popular joints are now marketing “healthy” menu options to keep their businesses up. Here is how to eat healthy when you visit the drive through.

Choose water, juice or milk as a drink. When you drink a large soft drink you are introducing a lot of empty calories to your day. One serving of pop is eight oz.. Those eight ounces tend to be at least 100 calories and close to ten tablespoons of sugar. Most fast food soft drink sizes start at twenty ounces. Thirty ounces, however, is considerably more common. This means that your drink alone will put a large number of ounces of sugar into your body as well as several thousand empty calories. It is much healthier to choose milk, juice or perhaps regular water.

Common logic tells us that one positive way to get healthy and lose weight is to by pass the drive through and to banish fast food restaurants from your thoughts. Most of the time this is a good plan but if you make good choices, there is not any reason you can’t visit your drive through from time to time. At times the thing you need most is just to have someone else do the cooking. There isn’t any reason to feel bad about visiting the drive through when you make healthful decisions!
