But at times the last thing you want to do is make a whole supper for yourself and your family. Sometimes you just want to hit the drive through en route to your home and call it a day. There is no reason you shouldn’t be able to make it happen once in a while and be free of the guilt usually associated with “diet slips”. This is because a lot of the famous fast food restaurants on the market are trying to “healthy up” their selections. Here is how one can find appropriate food choices at the drive through.
Focus on the sides. It was not that long ago that all you could get in a fast food diner was French Fries. Now more or less all of the famous fast food places have expanded their menus. There are plenty of salads out there today. Chili is yet another choice. You can also get a baked potato. You can make fruit. There are countless selections that you can choose that do not force you to consume foods that have been deep fried. When you buy your meal through a drive through window, choose side dishes instead of just grabbing something premade. You’ll keep your calorie and fatty food count low and stay away from commitment.
Simple logic states that the best way to lose fat and get healthy is to ban fast food from your diet altogether. While, usually, this is a good plan, if you make smart choices, there is no reason to feel guilty for visiting a drive through one or two times a month. Often the thing you need most is just to have another person do the cooking. When you choose wholesome menu items, you do not have to feel bad about visiting the drive through.
