Just about every single article you read about bettering your health or losing weight is going to tell you to ignore the drive through and cook all of your meals instead. There’s some value to this. Now and then, though, you absolutely do not need to make a whole meal for your family or even just for yourself. Sometimes you just wish to go to the drive through en route to your home and call it a day. Why shouldn’t you have the ability to do this every now and then and not have a bunch of guilt about slipping up on your diet program? This is because a lot of the famous fast food restaurants on the market are trying to “healthy up” their menus. Here is the way to eat healthy and balanced when you hit the drive through.
Choose a drive through with a restaurant that is known for catering to people with healthier palates. Arby’s for instance, is void of burgers. Instead you’ll be able to select from roast beef sandwiches, salads, wraps and various healthier items. Wendy’s, not surprisingly, is known for its square burgers, even so the menu there has a considerable amount of wholesome choices like salad, potatoes and chili. Most fast food eating places do not stoop to the harmful lows seen at McDonalds.
Logic claims that one the easiest way to stay healthy and balanced is to sidestep the drive through and never eat fast food. While this is usually recommended all you need to do is make a few good selections and traveling to the drive through isn’t anything to worry about–when you do it in moderation. Sometimes the best thing is to let another person make your dinner. There isn’t any reason to feel guilty about visiting the drive through when you make healthful decisions!

Steps to make Feel Good Chicken Soup:
- Cut chicken into bite-sized cubes. Tip: I like to use an even mix of breast and thighs, seems to have better flavor that way
- Cut carrots into bite-size pieces. Tip: use pre-packaged baby carrots. They're already peeled.
- Cut celery into bite-size pieces. Optional: don't let any go to waste! I like to mince up the leaves and add them to the rest of my herbs. More flavor and more nutrients. Can't have enough of either
- Peel and cut onions into bite-size pieces
- Chop herbs down to a fine powder
- Cut green onions into ¼ inch pieces
- Combine all ingredients into a large stock pot and fill with water until the ingredients are completely submerged
- Bring this mixture to a boil and allow to boil for ten minutes. Warning: monitor closely, as boil-over will likely occur. I always make a mess on my stove lol
- Reduce heat to medium and cover. Continue to heat until onions are translucent, approximately 20 minutes.
