The ingredients needed to cook Beef Bolognese:
- Use 1 tbsp olive oil
- You need 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- Prepare 2 carrots, trimmed and finely chopped
- Use 500 g beef mince
- You need 400 g spaghetti
- Take 150 g Mixed Vegetables
- Provide 400 g any tomato Bolognese sauce
Instructions to make Beef Bolognese:
- Put a large saucepan on a medium heat and add 1 tbsp olive oil.
- Reduce the heat and add the onion, carrot, then fry for 10 mins. Stir the veg often until it softens.
- Increase the heat to medium-high, add the mince and cook stirring for 3-4 mins until the meat is browned all over
- Add the tinned/bottled tomato bolognese sauce.
- Bring to the boil, reduce to a gentle simmer and cover with a lid. Cook for 15 mins stirring occasionally, until you have a rich, thick sauce.
- When the Bolognese is nearly finished, cook the spaghetti following pack instructions.
- Add mixed vegetables to boiling spaghetti, 4 minutes before draining.
- Drain the spaghetti and stir into the Bolognese sauce.
